The James Zeller “Man of Distinction Scholarship,” presented annually by Phi Kappa Tau, recognizes incoming Washington State University men who have demonstrated strong academic achievement, leadership ability, and active involvement throughout high school.

 

In 2026, Phi Kappa Tau will award a $1,000 scholarship funding to 1 outstanding applicant.This scholarship honors the top candidate who best reflect the organization’s values through leadership, character, and a well-rounded lifestyle. Recipients will be recognized at the first All-House meeting of the year.

 

Applicants are not required to join Phi Kappa Tau to apply for or receive the scholarship. The application deadline is August 9th, 2026, and the process takes only a few minutes to complete. The winner will be announced during the first week of October.
